This was never an illegitimate presidency. I am tired of hearing the democrats whine about how they were cheated in the last election. How they won the popular vote, like that was ever the goal. Do you think that if the national popular vote was the goal that when the major networks called Florida at 7:50 EST completing the trifecta of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida that people West of there would have given up and stopped voting.
No! That is why I thought I would bring this back to the fore.
If the popular vote was the goal, things across the board would have been different. Even so if you review the picture below Bush clearly won a representative majority. People living in the counties Bush won outnumbered people living in the counties Gore won 143 million to 127 million. And those counties have grown in population since then at a larger rate.
