Kerry Buys a Jock Strap, Reporters Watch

Powerline Blog reported yesterday on a story in the L.A. Times that tracked Kerry through a shopping trip.

A lot of people commented at the time that it was not smart of John Kerry to take a highly visible vacation windsurfing off Nantucket. Kerry seems obsessed with creating an image of himself as a sportsman, as he invites camera crews for photo-ops of him riding his bike, snowboarding, windsurfing, and tossing baseballs and footballs (poorly, I might add). He's even gone so far as to invite reporters along to watch him buy a jockstrap.

Just one more reason he shouldn't be our Sportsman-in-Chief.
